The Australian Compliance Laboratory is an accredited, independent and confidential mechanical laboratory that specialises in performance testing packaging and products.

They called on Giant Inflatables Industrial to design and fabricate an inflatable bag to test the flexural stiffness and strength of a transport pallet.

Inflatable Matrix Web Constructed Airbag

The lifting bags had to be designed and fabricated in a way to ensure the 1.2m x 1.2m x 20cm inflatable structure could be inflated evenly to 200kPa+.

Giant Inflatables created an airbag using a Matrix Web Construction, which comprises of thousands of nylon threads interconnecting the top and bottom layers of the airbag, establishing a robust core when inflated.

The drop-stitched matrix web construction ensures uniform pressure distribution, crucial for accurate and reliable compression test results.
